Dr. Parth Shah received his medical degree from the Baroda Medical College and the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda in Gujarat, India. He received his Master of Surgery (M.S) in General Surgery from the same institute following which he practiced as an Assistant Professor in General Surgery at the Baroda Medical College and Sir Sayajirao Gaekwad Hospital in India.
Dr. Shah visited the United States in 2008 as a Visiting Investigator in Head and Neck Cancer Surgery at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York and decided to pursue Surgical Oncology as his career interest. He started his General Surgery residency at the Hospital of University of
Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and completed his residency at the Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. During his residency, he also spent two years with the Harrison Department of Surgical Research at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, pursuing clinical research in Endocrine and Oncologic Surgery. He then completed his fellowship in Complex General Surgical Oncology at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center / University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida.
Dr. Shah’s professional interests include gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary and pancreas cancer surgery, heated intraperitoneal chemotherapy for peritoneal malignancy and melanoma. While at work, he is very passionate about mentoring the medical students and residents. Dr. Shah enjoys all outdoor activities as well as travelling with his family in his spare time. He currently resides in Broomfield with his wife, a daughter and a son.
