Colleen Murphy, M.D.

Dr. Murphy was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Hope College with a degree in biology. She recieved her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and completed her general surgical internship and residency at Indiana University. During her surgical residency, she completed a two-year breast surgical oncology research fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Following surgical residency, she completed a breast surgical oncology fellowship at the combined program of Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women's Hospital, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, and the Harvard Medical School. She then joined the surgical faculty of the Harvard Medical School at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Dana Farber Cancer Institute where her practice specialized in breast surgical oncology. Her professional interests include breast cancer risk assessment and screening, high-risk breast cancer patients, young women with breast cancer, lymphedema, breast MRI and breast cancer survivorship. She has published many journal articles and book chapters in the field of breast oncology. Dr. Murphy is the Medical Director of Porter Comprehensive Breast Care at Porter Adventist Hospital.

Dr. Murphy is married to Dr. Peter Kennealey, also a member of SurgOne. She enjoys skiing, running, and travel.
