Peter T. Kennealey, M.D.

Dr. Kennealey is from Wilmington, Delaware. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Boston College with a degree in Mathematics. He obtained his medical degree from Loyola University Chicago, Stritch School of Medicine and completed general surgical internship and residency at Indiana University. During his surgical residency, he completed a two-year oncology research fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettring Cancer Center. Following surgical residency, he completed a fellowship in transplant surgery at the Massachusetts General Hospital and the Harvard Medical School. He is the Surgical Director of Kidney Transplantation at Porter Adventist Hospital. His professional interests include laparoscopic donor nephrectomy, living related kidney transplantation, dialysis access surgery, laparoscopic peritoneal dialysis catheter placement and general surgery. He authored numerous articles in the field of transplantation and general surgery and is a member of the editorial board of Dialysis and Transplantation.

Dr. Kennealey is married to Dr. Colleen Murphy, a breast surgical oncologist and a member of SurgOne. He enjoys skiing, golf, and travel.
